StandUp Wireless provides service using the T-Mobile nationwide wireless network. Your service runs on America's largest wireless network, giving you broad coverage across the country.
Because the network is shared among all users, you may notice slower data speeds during busy times — for example, when a large number of people in your area are using the network at once. This is called network congestion and is a normal part of how wireless networks work. If you consistently experience slow speeds in a location where you've had good service before, contact Customer Care at 1-800-544-4441 or chat with us .
Yes Not all devices work the same way on the network. Older phones may not support the same network bands as newer devices, which can affect your signal strength, speed, and indoor coverage. For example, a phone without Band 12 (700 MHz) support cannot take advantage of StandUp Wireless's Extended Range LTE, which travels farther and performs better inside buildings. To get the most out of your service, check that your phone is compatible with the StandUp Wireless network.
Make sure your device is not in airplane mode, then reboot your device. If the problem persists, chat with Customer Care on our website, email us at support@standupwireless.com or call us at 1-800-566-6661 from another device to report the issue. If the problem only occurs in certain geographic areas, our network may not be able to reach those areas.
Yes. Your phone can place calls to 911 even if you have no minutes available. Note that wireless service uses less reliable methods than landline phones to determine your phone number and location. Network coverage can be affected by weather, structures, buildings, and geography. Because of this, emergency operators may not always be able to determine your location or phone number, and in areas with no wireless coverage your 911 call may not go through. If there is no wireless coverage, dial 911 from the nearest landline phone when possible.
